Taste is the first work from an ongoing series, which aims to manifest the objects that live within my highly curated family home. The combination of scanography and sculpture studies the amalgamation between ones’ habitual environment and the self. Under a framework of Gothicism and science fiction, I project a post-human self into the medium of a carpet. This synthesis of medium turns a portrait into a landscape, entering into a new aesthetic realm of high and low art.
